#TargetStyle: Wedding Guest Beauty

This post is sponsored by Target.

'Tis the season for weddings, graduations, and even more weddings, which means the pressure is on to dress the part. I'm continuing

my partnership with Target

to share a few easy hair and makeup ideas for your next big event. Scroll down to get the deets on these two looks!

Many hairstylists will suggest doing up-dos or super styled hair when it's a little dirty (aka second-day hair). The oils help the style stay and give it a little more texture. If you can't do second-day hair, I suggest using a

little mousse

after your shower to give it some oomph. After mousse, I always use a wand or curling iron to give my hair a light wave. Again, that adds texture, plus it looks super pretty when random tendrils fall out of place when styling.

For a messy side bun, use a

hair-tie

to pull all hair in a side ponytail. Using

bobby pins

, grab pieces of hair and pin them within the ponytail. Repeat 4 or 5 times (or as needed to get all hair secured), and ta-da!

For this graduation guest look, I did my base makeup and layered on

Pixi's cheek tint

for a rosy color, then topped it off with

Pixi's lip color in raspberry blush

, which is a pinky-red. This is a great lip color for gals looking to go semi-matte but not take the full plunge (like me!).

If you're headed to a summer wedding then a) you

need this dress

and b) try a twisted side braid and coral lip for your beauty look! Start with the same second day hair look as above then

grab 3 clear hair elastics

 to do this:

Pull all your hair into one side ponytail, then come down about 2 inches to add another hair elastic. Here's the trick: open the center between the two and fold the remaining hair into the hole to create the "twist." It will be tight, so pull on the hair to loosen and repeat for the next one. Depending on how long your hair is, you could do it multiple times! Wrap strands around each elastic and secure them with a bobby pin to hide them.

I topped off the whole thing with a

little finishing mist

-- you know, for that after party dance sesh! Don't forget the lipstick. For this I went with a little

peachy-coral color

.

Ugh, I'm missing

my long hair

! Anywho, hope these help you out with any upcoming festivities. I'm always sharing hair tips on snapchat (pursuitofshoes), so don't forget to follow there. Find your style @Targetstyle.
