#TargetStyle: 3 Perfect Holiday Hairstyles

This post is sponsored by Target

Holiday madness has officially started! There's so much happening, especially when it comes to events and parties: party planning, party attending, party outfit choices, party beauty looks... decisions, decisions!

Don't fret, because I'm continuing my beauty partnership with Target to share three glam and EASY hairstyles for any holiday event. Honestly, they each take no more than five minutes to do and look perfect. You know me - I rarely do anything other than but my typical wavy locks, so I wanted to make these hairstyles were easy-peasy.

Speaking of typical wavy locks: the first step to all my holiday 'dos starts with a little curl/wave action.

Why pre-wave? It gives added bounce and texture that makes all the holiday 'dos look perfectly undone, if that makes sense. If it doesn't, you'll see what I mean below! I'm a fan of the sultra bombshell to get waves like the above.

the holiday side pony

The side pony is great for post-work holiday happy hours, when you don't have that much time but want something different than your office day look.

The steps are super simple:

1. pull hair to one side and tie with hair elastic
2. take a small piece of hair and wrap around hair elastic to hide

Ta-da: perfect side pony! If you're feeling extra festive, you can add a gold ribbon over the elastic. PS: This beauty look is coming next week. Stay tuned!

the party top knot

One of my new favorite ways to add a little "oomph" to my hair is to do the crown top knot. You still get the feel of long, flowing locks but your hair is pulled out of your face; perfect for holiday nights out on the town.

get this look in under 3 minutes:

1. pull crown of hair into a messy top bun, secure with hair elastic (don't worry if hairs are flying everywhere)
2. use bobby pins to secure fly aways and stray hairs into bun

The idea of this is not to make everything look entirely perfect, so don't get too hard on yourself if the bun looks a little messy.

the festive fishtail

Never underestimate the power of a braid, especially a fishtail. This one may take you the full five minutes but it's totally worth it. I love this style for family gatherings or get-togethers where you need to look a bit more polished.

 to get this look:

1. split your hair evenly into two sections
2. use your finger to separate a small section of your hair from the outer edge near and cross it over to the opposite side (overlapping just like you would if you were doing a standard braid). Re-grip your hair to tighten, still holding two sections. Repeat with a small section from the other side.
3. continue overlapping pieces from both sides of your ponytail, all the way down to your ends. Be sure to pull small sections from underneath to cross over, and try to grab the same size (about a half inch) sections from each side.
4. secure with hair elastic
4. wrap one piece of hair around elastic and use bobby pin to secure
5. gently pull at braid to loosen, letting a few pieces fall out

I'm a big proponent of pulling at the braid to loosen so it doesn't look too stiff or schoolgirl-like. If you'd rather do a regular braid, try swapping in some gold ribbon as the "third piece" for a super festive look.

And there you have it: only 3 products to get 3 entirely different looks! Told you I would make it easy. Find your style @TargetStyle.

Bringing you some festive beauty look next week to pair with these 'dos. Stay tuned...
