Stuart Weitzman Red Carpet Collection

Every year Stuart Weitzman hosts an annual Oscar Styling Suite where he premieres his "Red Carpet" collection and invites some of the hottest makeup and hair pros to give beauty touch-ups and tips! I was so excited to cover the event for an Allie is Wired Exclusive - it was fantastic! Here are some more pics and info about Weitzman's "Red Carpet" collection:

Thigh High Boots

These magical thigh high boots are covered in 200,000+ Swarovski Crystals and took over 200 labor hours to make... Oh my goodness! A Weitzman rep explained to me that this is more of a "performance" shoe and as of now there are only two pairs in existence. Clients can custom design these, changing the amount of Swarovski crystals or the length of the boot.

Feather d'Orsay Pump

These are my favs! You know I'm a sucker for feminine shoes especially ones adorned with feathers and bows. The purple color is fantastic and the feather detail is perfect!

Top: Back Zipper Sandals & Bottom: Swarovski Crystal Sandals

It was nice to see funkier, more contemporary pieces in the collection (back zipper sandals).Weitzman noticed a trend in functional day to evening shoes and decided to create a sandal fitting for the on-the-go woman. The zipper detail is right on point for the season:

I think these will appeal to the 20-something woman looking for a funkier evening sandal. Hopefully the dept. store buyers agree!

I spoke with Jane Weitzman about the availability of the "Red Carpet" Collection and she said some styles will be in dept. stores within the next couple of months. Not all styles will be chosen by the buyers and therefore some designs in the collection may never see the shoe department! Good news though, there were multiple sizes of each design made for the Oscar Styling Suite and they will be available starting today at the Stuart Weitzman on Rodeo Drive. Go get 'em before they are gone!
