#TargetStyle: Bold Lip
Umm... so how did you all fare in this weekend's 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target craziness? A quick trip to the West Hollywood Target around 9:00am yesterday proved to be unsuccessful, but I'm not too upset because there are tons of other stylish options this season. Remember last week when I mentioned an exciting campaign with Target? Well, I'm so excited and honored to be part of a select group of bloggers sharing Target's fall trends! It all started two weeks ago when we were invited to attend Target's fashion show in New York.
The show, held at Pier 57, was designed in the round - a la Target bullseye - and showcased fall's hottest trends. Think black & white (my fave), tailored, embellished and more. They even focused on a few beauty trends, one being the bold lip. Got to love these gorgeous pouts:

Dear black and white trend, I heart you. When I spotted this zebra cardi atTarjay Target City it just seemed so kitschy and cute that I couldn't pass it up - definitely a good layering piece when the temps cool down. Alrighty, so why do I have a weird relationship with lip color? Let's call a spade a spade: I have a pretty large smile that's just... well... big! Lipstick draws attention to the mouth and when I was younger I wanted NOTHING to do with it. Now that I'm so much older wiser, I'm embracing the power of lip color and realizing that it makes me feel super confident and sexy (until it's all over my teeth). If you are at all hesitant, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and get your flirty pout on!
