What's Stitch Fix All About?
All in favor of going back to Austin? Working on my travel guide with all my tips and places to eat (boy, did we eat!) - stay tuned for that later this week. My schedule as of late has been travel, travel, travel which is AMAZING but as a style blogger there’s always so much pressure to have a new look for everything. Even my non-blogger friends feel that pressure when planning a vacation and as silly as it sounds, it’s stressful. That’s why I decided to try out Stitch Fix for this trip. Here’s the deal: Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Basically you fill out a quick survey on your vibe and what kind of styles you’re going for then their stylists do the work and send you a box of ALL. THE. THINGS. (Btw, try your first Fix here!)
For this trip I just wanted summer dresses that I could wear dressed up at night or casual in the day. The less things to pack, the better… right? A few days before I left I received a package of four dresses and a gorge pair of Sam Edelman heels. Here’s one of the looks I got in my Fix:
This dress was beyond perfect for Austin weather. I swear it was like 80 degrees one minute then dropped down to 65 the next; thank goodness for my trusty denim jacket. Because I'm petite, I always try to grab for dresses that have a defined waist or else I look like I'm wearing a trash bag. With the oversized trend happening right now, it's so important for me to still dress for my body type and not be swayed by the trends because that's when I feel my best!
So the best part about Stitch Fix is that you only pay for what you keep; it’s basically like having a dressing room full of clothes without having to go to a physical store (ain’t nobody got time) and then only paying for what you walk out with. Have any of you guys tried Stitch Fix before? If you haven’t, try your first Fix here. If you have, what’s been your favorite part?
PS: my Austin Travel guide is coming this week! Stay tuned...
