All Dressed-Up, Sort of
Not going to lie, I'm sick of hearing about Nordstrom's Anniversary sale and it hasn't even officially opened to the public yet. Anyone else? I went on a little rant on IG story yesterday about bloggers who won't stop talking about buying the same sweater in 5 colors or X, Y, Z in "every color because it's just so cute!" A) no one needs the same thing in a million colors and B) they're probably lying so they can push product. I get it, we're salespeople of sorts but this sale sends people into excessiveness and it's a little too much. If you missed my first post about the sale (see it here) I mentioned that I'm taking a different approach this year and only buying and TALKING about items that will be used, worn, make sense ... not buying things for the sake of buying things. Truth be told, I only bought 5 fashion items from the sale. Two of which are this Theory blouse and these Frame Denim jeans.
I tend to have pretty laid back, casual style; I'm a jeans and tee girl at heart. Lately, I've noticed in terms of white tops all I have are a few white camis and cotton tees. Sometimes I need to dress it up a bit (is this 30?), so when I spotted this Theory blouse I grabbed it. The fit is a bit oversized which at first I was a little apprehensive of (did you see my dressing room diary on IG story?) but I'm so glad I bought it because it's chic AF!
When it came to the jeans, I didn't technically NEED another pair of black denim BUT I wear the sh*t out of my denim, especially in the fall. I also keep my denim for YEARS. Some of my fave J. Brands are from 5 years ago and I still wear 'em! Anywho - for me denim is a good investment and I've been wanting to try Frame Denim for awhile. These fit true to size BUT the gal helping me at Nordis said they will stretch out so I ended up sizing down. And yes, they're technically a cropped style but for us petite gals they hit ankle length. I'm not mad about!
Hope you guys are having a great week! I'm headed to Europe on Saturday and have about 1 million things to do before I leave BUT I'm soo freaking excited to travel for the next month. Back tomorrow with the deets from our Wine Tasting trip from last weekend!
