Remember that festival disaster in the bahamas earlier this month? (cough, cough, Ja Rule!) Yeah, me and 7 of my besties were supposed to be there for weekend 2 basking in the sun, sipping on our $20 cocktails, and dining on the "finest food." That obviously didn't work out. Needless to say we were all a little bummed, but super grateful that we didn't book weekend 1 because that was a hot mess.
Not surprising I had planned some really fab festival outfits, most from Lulus Festival Shop, and have been itching to wear them ever since. Thank goodness this coverup and bikini double as perfect beach day combo, too!

Andy and I spent a day playing in Venice last weekend which we haven't done in so long, so we ventured to the beach, shopped on Abbot Kinney, then strolled on the canals. If you ever come to Venice you MUST visit the canals; they're stunning! Parking can be a little rough so I suggest biking if you can.
This bathing suit is SUPS sexy and I would say the bottoms run a tad small, so size up if you're in between sizes! Aren't the sleeves on the cover-up so cute? I also love the embroidered detail cuz you now I'm all about embroidery right now. And the slides make all my casual summer dreams come true; just slip 'em on and go.
Super sad the bahamas didn't work out BUT I'll be taking this look with me on a sailing trip to Haiti next month - eek! It's going to be an adventure and I can't wait to share.
