Weekend Warrior: Coachella + Community Service
Don't let the title fool you - this post isn't about community service at Coachella (boy, would that be interesting)! I've been known to make the best of my weekends, even cramming in a little too much; it's the weekend warrior in me. This past weekend I spent 36 hours in Indio then booked it back to LA to do some community service.
What can 36 hours in Coachella-land get you? A lot of floral romper and crop top sightings, an insanely gorgeous sunset, a night with FORWARD by Elyse Walker at the Merv Griffin Estate (ridic!), some playtime with TZR and #babeswhobrunch and, of course, a road trip detour to In-N-Out. Throw in 4+ Starbucks stops and you have a pretty successful trip!
Back in LA the boy and I hopped on the Do Good Bus to help pick 20,000 lbs. of oranges for those in need. We've both been talking about "giving back" for along time and finally decided to do it! Harvesting oranges is not as easy as it looks especially for short kids like me. Let's just say my neck is probably going to feel it mañana, but it was totally worth it. Hoping to get in a more regular community service routine. Do you have any local or national organizations you support? Would love any suggestions!
