#Targetstyle: 4th of July Beauty
This post is sponsored by Target.
Don’t you just love the 4th of July? As a grown up, I look forward to it as THE event of the summer… well, besides Labor Day. But Labor Day is kind of depressing because it means summer’s over. Anywho, this year the 4th falls on a Saturday so there’s no excuse not to go ALL out! Let’s grab our painted pineapples and get red, white, & blue all over.
I’m continuing my beauty partnership with Target and today we’re highlighting some glam beauty tips for the 4th. I like to think of any holiday as a time to go bold, try something you’ve never tried before, and just be totally glam; it’s fun!
Every summer beauty look starts with my 5 minute face + summer beauty must-haves. What about the hair? Whether you’re going to the beach or not, we can all fake sexy, salty beach waves.
I have naturally wavy hair that can either get super frizzy or be beach perfect depending on the humidity and last time I washed it (sounds gross, but we all love a good second day dirty hair). Instead of leaving it up to the weatherman I always reach for a texturizing beach spray to get tame, manageable waves. This Fekkai Spray has sunflower seed oil so you get texture without drying your hair out which is awesome.
Of course, since it’s the 4th of July I opted for a festive bikini. Aren’t these bottoms fun? Pair 'em with any solid white, blue, or red top from your bikini arsenal and you've got the perfect patriotic beach look.
Another fun beauty moment for the 4th is going with a bold lip. After all, who doesn’t love a good red lip? I actually think it looks so great with dewy summer skin and a simple white tank and denim; it’s perfectly subtle.
See: you’ve got your red, white and blue! I’ve been really into the matte lip colors lately but they can be hard to wear all day, so I typically start with matte and add on shine when I need to reapply.

What are your plans for the 4th? I think I’m going to Malibu… let’s just say I’m counting down the days. Get more 4th of July style inspo on @Targetstyle.
