Bikinis and Beaches: High Waist or Bust

Sometimes you just see a swim style and say to yourself "YASSSSS!" - am I right? That's how I felt when I spotted this Tularosa pom pom bikini. It hits all the marks: high-waisted, white, plus it has pom poms! You know, I love a little frill every once in awhile. So here's my thing about high waisted bikinis: they are like the ultimate bathing suit spanx! That being said, you do have to watch how tight they hit on the waist or else you have the muffin top effect which is not cute. I've found that most high-waisted styles, including this one, fit true to size.

When you go high-waisted you are making a decision that you most likely will stay high-waisted or wear a one piece going forward ... tan lines, people... or lather up on that sunscreen and find an umbrella.

It's been said that high-waisted styles can minimize the hips for curvier girls but also make more athletic bodies look curvy... magical swimsuit? I think yes! I know for me I always feel super sexy in this style and a bit curvier than I do in a regular bikini.
