Lipstick Love: 3 Formulas to Try from bareMinerals, L'oreal, and Mark by Avon
If you saw the “condensed” version of lipsticks I have in my backpack you would laugh. There’s probably about 15 different ones, from about 5+ brands. While I am pretty monogamous when it comes to other makeup products , I have no problem testing out and trying ALL the lip colors out there. Three formulas I’ve been loving lately are: bareMinerals BAREPRO, L’oreal Paris Rouge Signature, and Mark by Avon Velvet Lip Paint.
bareMinerals BAREPRO is a full-coverage, mineral-rich lipstick with a soft-matte finish that truly has a long lasting wear. I tried this out a few months ago and it has been a favorite ever since. (I’m wearing it above in the color ‘saffron’). It comes in a spectrum of colors from nudes to dark purples (it seems like different retailers have a different assortment of hues). The soft-matte finish is SUPER nice and a little more natural feeling/looking than a normal matte lipstick. Def one to try!
L’oreal Paris Rouge Signature is a lightweight matte ink that delivers pigment with a weightless, bare-lip sensation. Basically it feels like a lip stain! (I’m wearing it in the bottom pictures in the color in ‘achieve’.) Like the bareMinerals one, it comes in array of colors. It doesn’t dry out your lips and is a really great choice when you want a little something something but nothing to overpowering. Not to mention it’s under $10!
Mark by Avon Velvet Lip Paint has been my fave for YEARS! It’s more intense than lipstick and more saturated than gloss! You can actually see me try it out on this IGTV vid from last summer. If you’re a bold + bright matte lipstick lover this is the BOMB. I literally wish I could give it to everyone to try. This formula only comes in a few colors, sadly but I LIVE for the ‘spark’ color. Btw, it’s on sale for under $6 right now. TRUST when I say you will thank me later.
